Is there software nobody maintains any more?
A system the business depends on, built by someone who has moved on. Updates pile up, nobody dares touch it, and replacing it looks too expensive.
That is work we do often: mapping the code and the environment, clearing the backlog of updates, listing the risks, and then simply building on it again. Repairing is often cheaper than starting over — and when it is not, we say so.

What clients usually want to know first.
What does it cost?
That depends on the scope. After the first conversation you get a proposal with a price per phase, so you can decide phase by phase whether the next part goes ahead. Maintenance and hosting run as a fixed monthly amount, or by the hour when there is little to do.
Who owns the source code?
You do. You get the code, the documentation and access to the environment. That way you can always continue with someone else, even though we hope you will not have to.
Can you take over software someone else built?
Yes, that is a good part of our work. We start with an inventory of the code, the hosting and the risks, and then tell you honestly whether building on it or replacing it makes more sense.
How long does a project take?
A straightforward website is a matter of weeks; a business application runs into months. We cut it into phases, so the first usable piece is usually there within a few weeks rather than only at the end.
What about the GDPR and where is the data kept?
By default we host inside the EU and keep the amount of personal data as small as the work allows. For systems holding personal data we sign a data processing agreement.
Do you work alongside an existing IT company or in-house team?
Yes. Sometimes we build and your own team runs the environment, sometimes the other way round. We put the split of responsibilities in writing beforehand.
Which language do you work in?
Dutch and English. Documentation, meetings and code comments come in whichever language your team uses.
